Fall is the perfect time to explore Fairfax County by bike—and there’s no better way to do it than the 10th Annual Tour de Mount Vernon! Happening on Saturday, October 18, this fun, community-focused ride showcases the beauty, history, and camaraderie of the Mount Vernon District.

Hosted by Supervisor Dan Storck, this year’s Tour starts and ends at the Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House and features scenic 20- and 40-mile routes with views of the Potomac, passes through historic landmarks, and even a stretch through Fort Belvoir for those pre-vetted for the longer ride.

And this year is extra special—FABB is celebrating 20 years of bicycle advocacy and better biking in Fairfax County! A portion of your registration helps support our work for safer, more bike-friendly streets.

Whether you’re a seasoned rider or just want to enjoy a gorgeous fall day on two wheels, this ride has something for everyone. Enjoy rest stops, police support, a post-ride party with live music, La Prima’s famous sweet potato chili, and other perks like discounts and (if you register in time) limited-edition tie-dye socks.

The ride starts at 8:30 am at the Woodlawn & Pope-Leighey House. Registration is still open – don’t miss out on this great tradition!

Register now and get full details here.

Let’s ride together to celebrate 10 years of this incredible event—and 20 years of progress in making Fairfax a great place to bike.
