Learn to Ride is for you if:
- You never had instruction on how to ride a bike
- You had instruction on how to ride a bike, but you did not master all the skills
- You learned how to ride bike at one time, but you need a refresher
Class Information
- Duration: 3.5 hours
- Equipment: Bicycle and helmet are provided
- Participant Age: 18 years old and older
- Cost: $10 - Registration is open to Mason faculty, students and staff; Fairfax County residents; and the City of Fairfax residents.
- Registration Policy: Advance registration required; no walk-ins

Celebrate the cherry blossom season by taking part in the Tysons Community Alliance and the National Cherry Blossom Festival’s Inaugural Pedal with Petals Family Bike Ride event. Explore the beauty of Tysons on two wheels and get ready for an unforgettable experience for the entire family!

Whether you’re an avid cyclist or looking for a way to further engage with your community, Pedal with Petals offers something for everyone.
Pedal through Tysons and look out for:
- A bike decorating station to make your ride ‘blossom’
- Free bike repairs provided by Trek
- Professional face painters
- A DJ
- Can’t miss photo ops
- Free snacks and refreshments
- And much more
Bike marshals provided by Fairfax Alliance for Better Bicycling (FABB) will lead four waves of cyclists around Tysons Corner Center Plaza every half hour.
- Wave # 1 – 8:15 AM
- Wave #2 – 8:45 AM
- Wave #3 – 9:15 AM
- Wave #4 – 9:45 AM
To ensure the safety of bike ride participants, all cyclists must wear a helmet.
Event Supporters: Capital Bikeshare and Fairfax Alliance for Better Bicycling.

Pedal with Petals Bike ride starts and ends in front of Tysons Tower and Vita Tysons Corner. Participants are encouraged to take Metrorail Silver Line to the Tysons station. Event parking is available as well.

Fairfax County's Trails, Sidewalks and Bikeways Committee is a citizen advisory committee that provides input and oversight to planning and developing a non-motorized transportation system and trails serving the needs of pedestrians, bicyclists, and equestrians.
