No, seriously, FABB could really use some help from work from home volunteers to increase our social media’s reach and impact.

We need riders who are enthusiastic about social media, the internet, and everything in-between. We want volunteers who want to share their joy of riding to advance FABB’s advocacy and education efforts.

FABB is looking for:

  • Volunteers who can create original and engaging posts on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other sites to inform the public, advocate for infrastructure, encourage bicycling, and educate riders.
  • We need riders who can expand our social media presence to new venues using creative means. In particular, we need help with marketing events using Constant Contact, Eventbrite, and YouTube and designing promotional materials using Canva.
  • We also need help with editing our website using WordPress, maintaining our other sites, and tracking metrics to enable us to improve the reach and impact of our social media.
  • We need help with monitoring social media and increasing our engagement with our followers and like-minded groups we follow.
  • Finally, if you are a photographer or videographer, we would welcome contributions of engaging images and videos to make our social media more reflective of northern Virginia.

With the help of your online and social media skills, FABB’s message of making bicycling in Fairfax County a safe, convenient, and enjoyable way to get around will have a much greater impact.

Our current social media manager lacks many of the necessary technical skills for today’s social media and could really use help from more adept social media users. But, he is an experienced writer and editor and can help young volunteers develop their writing skills.
