• You know how to ride a bike, but would you like to feel more confident doing so?
  • Sign up for our Saturday, May 7, class now.

FABB is offering a new bike education class this year for adults and mature teens. Our Confident City Cycling class will help you understand how to maneuver in spaces shared by drivers, pedestrians, and other cyclists. The class is on Saturday, May 7, from 9:00 am until 12:30 pm at the parking lot of Fairfax City Hall, 10455 Armstrong Street, Fairfax City.

As a student, you will be guided by League Certified Instructors. You will practice shifting gears to maximize your ability to climb hills. You also will practice lane positioning to increase your visibility and safety as you learn where you should ride on various types of city streets.

These are just two of the techniques you will learn. The instruction and hands-on practice will help you build skills that will make you feel more confident cycling. At the end of the class, we will enjoy a short group ride to put into practice what we’ve learned.

Thanks to the City of Fairfax, the cost of this class is only $5. All participants, however, must bring a bike helmet and a bike that fits you and is in good working condition.

Space is limited, so don’t wait to register! Go to our Confident City Cycling event page to reserve your spot in the class.
