If you weren’t able to make it to the in-person open houses hosted by the Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) on the ActiveTransportation plan in September, you have a few more opportunities to join the conversation.

The ActiveFairfax Transportation Plan is all about creating better options for everyone—whether you walk, bike, hike, scooter, or even ride a horse! It’s designed to provide safe, affordable, and convenient non-motorized travel for everyday commutes and recreational adventures.

FCDOT will hold four virtual meetings this month, one of which will be in Spanish.

  • Join the meeting on Tuesday, November 12, at 7 pm here. Dial In: 571-429-5982; Phone Conference ID: 149 329 810#
  • Join on Thursday, November 14 at 12 pm here. Dial In: 571-429-5982; Phone Conference ID:  731 365 231#

Additionally, there are several other ways to share your input:

  • Survey: Complete a brief survey to provide your feedback.
  • Interactive Map: Zoom in on specific locations and leave your ideas and comments directly on an interactive map.
  • Recorded Messages: Call 703-890-5898 and use Project Code 7268 to leave a recorded message for the project team.

All comments will be accepted through December 20, 2024. Don’t miss this chance to be part of the conversation and help shape the future of active transportation and make bicycling better in Fairfax County!
