FABB encourages our members and fellow riders to support the She Believes in Me (SBIM) Pedal Power Teen Leadership Program this summer. This inspiring biking series offers vulnerable teen girls in Herndon a chance to build confidence, connect with peers, and develop healthy habits in a safe, encouraging environment.

The program has been underway since the start of the month but needs more volunteers for its remaining sessions on the following Tuesdays—July 22, 29, and August 5—from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Four Seasons Recreation Association (1201 Herndon Parkway).

Volunteers are needed to:

  • Ride with the teens (especially if you can bring your own bike)
  • Help with mentoring and encouragement
  • Donate or deliver light post-ride brunch snacks

No special biking skills are required—just patience, kindness, and a willingness to help teens thrive.

This is a meaningful opportunity to help young people enjoy the joy and empowerment of biking while making real connections in the community.
