The Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) is hitting the road again with more open houses on the proposed Active Transportation and Trail Network! This coming week, they are headed to the Springfield and Mount Vernon Districts. These events are your chance to dive into the ambitious plan that merges the Bicycle Master Plan and Countywide Trails Plan, shaping a safer, healthier, and more connected Fairfax County.
These open houses offer a unique opportunity to connect directly with transportation staff, explore engaging exhibits, ask questions, and share your insights. Plus, with meetings conducted in both English and Spanish, we’re making sure everyone’s voice can be heard.
The ActiveFairfax Transportation Plan is all about creating better options for everyone—whether you walk, bike, hike, scooter, or even ride a horse! It’s designed to provide safe, affordable, and convenient non-motorized travel for everyday commutes and recreational adventures.
