FABB encourages everyone to take a Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) survey to the natural resource conservation plan for the future to provide and protect access to the outdoors throughout our area and the commonwealth. You can find the survey here.
The survey is available to anyone who lives in Virginia but is only available for the next few weeks. It only takes a couple of minutes to complete and gives you a chance to share you views on your desires for outdoor recreation opportunities for bicyclists.
The survey asks how you value and participate in outdoor recreation activities, what factors limit or prevent you from visiting parks, and what would improve your ability to visit and use parks? It also asks for your zip code, which means your and other local respondents’ survey answers can lead DCR to direct more attention and potentially funding to the needs of northern Virginia. Survey results will be included in the Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan (SCORP).
