Dranesville Supervisor John Foust and the Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) will hold a public meeting on the Chesterbrook Road Sidewalk Project on Monday, October 21, 2019, at 7:00 pm at Chesterbrook Elementary School, 1753 Kirby Road, McLean. The project, which extends from Chesterford Way to Maddux Lane, will provide a new 5-foot sidewalk with curb and gutter along the south side of Chesterbrook Road (it also includes storm sewer and water utility infrastructure improvements).
This is a good opportunity for local riders and others interested in improving bicycling options for students and others in the area to speak up and raise questions about how the new sidewalk meshes with other plans to improve multimodal transportation options.
