FABB is offering another Basic Bike Skills class on Saturday, June 15, from 9 am to 11am at the Franconia Rec Center at 6601 Telegraph Road in Alexandria. We also are again offering the class for the amazingly low priced of $10!
This is not a Learn to Ride class and is meant for people who can already maintain their balance and pedal the bike at the same time. Basic Bike Skills is for those who have completed a learn to ride class recently, know how to ride a bike, but think you need a refresher, or know how to ride a bike but want to improve your safety and bike control skills.
Our team of certified instructors will prepare new cyclists for riding on trails and low-stress streets in a safe and predictable manner. Class participants will learn and practice starting and braking smoothly, scanning, signaling, turning, and weaving.
Participants should be 18 years old and older, but we will accept mature teenagers. Riders can bring their own bicycle and helmet (required), or we can provide both if needed.
Advance registration is required (sorry, no walk-ins), but we’ve made it easy to do going to our Eventbrite page here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/basic-bike-skills-tickets-904398719917.
Don’t wait, register today, and join us for us this great learning opportunity.
