FABB encourages local riders to participate in a Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) virtual community meeting on Wednesday, September 14 at 7:30 pm on the recently completed Huntington Metrorail Active Transportation Study. It is critical to have riders provide their ideas and share their experiences with transportation planners to make sure study recommendations maximize improvements for bicyclists, pedestrians, and others.

This is the first community meeting on the study, which concluded in June 2022, and the first public opportunity to ask questions and provide input. Several of the study’s relevant recommendations were included in the proposed plan text for the the Huntington Metrorail Plan Amendment , but more detail is needed on how the recommendations will enhance pedestrian and bicycle comfort, safety, and access in the Huntington Transit Station area.

Please mark your calendars and join the virtual discussion to make bicycling better in Huntington.
