Good news for bike commuters in and around Vienna. Metro recently opened a new Bike and Ride facility at the Vienna Station. The facility provides customers with secure, covered bicycle parking at no charge. It also features 24/7 video monitoring, emergency call boxes, LED lighting, air pumps, and a ‘fix-it’ station. There are 26 lockers at the station and bike rack space for 86 bikes.
Riders must have a registered SmarTrip card to register to use and then to access the Bike & Ride facilities. It only takes a few days to get your information added to the system and receive a confirmation email.

For added security, you can register your bike with Metro Transit Police. Also, for your health, Metro is asking that, until further notice, only one person should be in a Bike & Ride facility at any given time.
