If you work in Tysons and have been thinking about using Capital Bikeshare but have hesitated because you weren’t familiar with how it works, we have a deal for you!

FABB is pleased to be working with Tysons Partnership to help potential bikeshare users get a free hands-on experience riding a Capital Bikeshare bike from the Tysons Metro station to one of two local office buildings on Thursday, October 17, 2019.

The two participating offices are Silverline Center and Valo Park. Tysons Partnership will have a shuttle pick up riders from the buildings and drive them to the Tysons Metro Station. There a cycling coach and Tysons Partnership representatives will have bikes waiting. Once everyone is on a bike, the coach will lead the riders back to their building and demonstrate how to dock the bikes. Each route is roughly a mile long and will use a mix of bike lane, sidewalk, and roadway.

Participants in the first ride should meet at noon at the front of Silverline Center at 7900 Westpark Drive for the van ride. You can register for this free ride here.

The second ride will begin at Valo Park at 7950 Jones Branch Drive. Riders should meet at 2:00 pm by the food trucks for the van ride. You can register for this free ride here.

All participants need to bring their own helmet. In case of rain, the ride will be postponed to a later date.

Each rider also will be offered the opportunity to purchase a full year Capital Bikeshare membership for half of its usual cost.

Please plan on joining us!
