FABB is happy to announce that it is offering a Basic Bike Skills class on Saturday, May 4, from 9 to 11am at the Franconia Rec Center at 6601 Telegraph Road in Alexandria. Plus, we’re offering the class for the amazingly low priced of $10!

Our team of certified instructors will prepare new cyclists for riding on trails and low-stress streets in a safe and predictable manner. Class participants will learn and practice starting and braking smoothly, scanning, signaling, turning, and weaving.

Basic Bike Skills is for you if you completed a learn to ride class recently, know how to ride a bike, but think you need a refresher, or know how to ride a bike but want to improve your safety and bike control skills.

Note: This is not a Learn to Ride class and is for people who can already ride a bike (maintain their balance and pedal the bike at the same time).

Participants should be 18 years old and older, but we will accept mature teenagers. Riders can bring their own bicycle and helmet (required), or we can provide both if needed.

Advance registration is required (sorry, no walk-ins), but we’ve made it easy to do going to our Eventbrite page here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/basic-bike-skills-tickets-881072129457

Don’t wait, register today, and join us for us this great learning opportunity.
