Get ready to pedal through history, nature, and culture with Mount Vernon District Supervisor Dan Storck and FABB at the 9th Annual Tour de Mount Vernon (TdMV) Community Bike Ride! Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 19, to experience this exciting community event starting and ending at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton.
Registration is open and you should register by August 31 to take advantage of our Early Bird Special, which includes a discounted rate and a guaranteed pair of exclusive TdMV socks. Don’t miss out on this fantastic offer!
You can choose between 40-mile and 20-mile routes that will take you through the picturesque Potomac area, showcasing historic, ecological, and cultural landmarks. Expect a mix of paved roads and trails, with some challenging sections. Ride monitors and Fairfax County Police will be on hand to ensure your safety and provide directions.
There also is a Youth and Family Ride. This 3-mile route is perfect for families and young riders. We also will have a bike rodeo featuring bike safety vendors, a lively bike parade, and interactive activities designed for kids.
After the ride, unwind with music, enjoy some famous sweet potato chili, and refresh with beverages. It’s a celebration you won’t want to miss!
