• Next Up: Hunter Mill, Providence, Braddock Districts, Tuesday, April 8,  7 p.m.

The second round of Fairfax County’s 2025 Paving and Restriping Program meetings is just around the corner—and we need your voice!

On Tuesday, April 8 at 7 p.m., FCDOT and VDOT will host a virtual meeting focused on planned repaving and proposed striping changes in the Hunter Mill, Providence, and Braddock Districts. Among the highlights are: a proposed bike lane on Dellwood Drive and possible crosswalk upgrades to improve pedestrian safety.

Every year, VDOT repaves hundreds of miles of roads across Fairfax County. That work creates a rare chance to add low-cost bike lanes and crosswalk improvements using existing pavement—no major construction needed.

But here’s the catch: those improvements only happen when people like you speak up. If you live, ride, or walk in these districts, this meeting is your chance to:

  • Advocate for the Dellwood Drive bike lane
  • Encourage buffered bike lanes wherever possible
  • Push for safer, more visible crosswalks
  • Ask questions and hold planners accountable
