Join the 2026 FCDOT Trail Clean Up Challenge!
This Martin Luther King Jr. Day, FABB encourages all bicyclists, walkers, and trail lovers to roll up their sleeves and give back to the community by joining the Fairfax County Department of Transportation’s (FCDOT) Trail Clean Up Challenge on Monday, January 19, 2026.
In the spirit of Dr. King’s legacy of service and civic engagement, FCDOT is inviting residents across the county to help make Fairfax a cleaner, more beautiful place to bike, walk, and roll.

Why It Matters
Trail clean-ups are more than just a beautification effort because they help protect natural habitats, keep our infrastructure safe and welcoming for all users, and remind us of the shared responsibility we all have to care for public spaces.
As bike advocates, we know how much clean, safe trails enhance our daily rides and commutes. Let’s honor Dr. King by giving back to the community and helping keep our trails ride-ready for everyone.
