Heads Up! Earlier this week, the trail detour for the nearly complete Washington & Old Dominion (W&OD) Trail Bridge over Lee Highway shifted to run along the north side of the bridge. This detour is much shorter than the previous one that ran south of the crossing, but a section of it is relatively narrow on the east side of Lee Highway. Riders should use caution and be prepared to dismount if the section is busy with walkers and other riders. The detour is expected to last until November 2020. The bridge, meanwhile, is shaping up nicely and will soon be open.
