Major arterial roads such as Routes 1, 7, 50, 123 and others are dangerous for pedestrians and bicyclists. How can we make these roads safer?

Join FABB for a virtual panel discussion on Thursday, September 29, at 7 pm to discuss this important question.

With Andy Clarke of Toole Design Group, Lee District Supervisor Rodney Lusk, Stewart Schwartz of the Coalition for Smarter Growth, and Bill Cuttler of VDOT, FABB’s Bethany Usher will moderate the discussion of the long- and short-term methods that can be used to tame our big roads by re-allocating space.

The panel will examine some of the techniques that have been shown to work in calming traffic, comprehensively addressing vehicle traffic needs while protecting vulnerable road users, and overcoming institutional barriers to making these changes now.
