Meta (Facebook) has announced that to help raise awareness of charitable causes and encourage donors’ generosity, it will match $8 million in qualifying donations made on Facebook during Giving Tuesday.
FABB has set up a Facebook fundraiser for our annual appeal. Your donation here on Giving Tuesday will qualify for the matching Meta donation.
The Meta Match begins on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 8 am Eastern Time. The matches will be made on a first-come, first-served basis and will continue until the entire fund has been met. Please set your clock to make sure you make your gift as close to 8 am as possible.
An early gift is important because Meta will match 100% of donations made to qualifying fundraisers until it has expended the first $2 million of its overall fund. Donating $10 to FABB early on Giving Tuesday can gain us an additional $10 from Meta. For the remaining $6 million, a 10% match will be made, adding a $1 to every gift of $10 to FABB until the fund is gone.
