FABB participated in the West Falls Church Active Transportation Study as a member of the public advisory group to advocate for better bike access to the West Falls Church Metro station and nearby planned development.

The study examined potential improvements to the active transportation network within and surrounding the West Falls Church Transit Station Area (TSA). After identifying gaps in the pedestrian and bike network, including barriers to access, inadequate facilities, and other areas for improvement, the study will provide recommendations and will be used to set priorities in coordination with community for improvements.

Now is the time to learn more about the plan and to provide critical input to improve its recommendations.

The Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) will hold two community meetings—one in person and one virtual—next month on the study at the time and places below:

In Person: Monday, October 3, 2022, from 7:30-9:00 pm

  • Lemon Road Elementary School Cafeteria, 7230 Idylwood Rd, Falls Church, VA 22043

Virtual: Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 7:30-9:00 pm

Don’t wait! Plan now to participate and Speak Up for better bicycling in West Falls Church!
