GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, which this year falls on December 3. Now in its eighth year, GivingTuesday is a global celebration that harnesses the generosity of millions of people around the world to support the causes they believe in and the communities in which they live. The ultimate goal of Giving Tuesday is a more just and generous world.

FABB is proud to be participating once again in GivingTuesday. Our outreach isn’t just about fundraising for bicycling advocacy, however. Our goal is to help bring communities together to work on resolving problems that affect transportation, the environment, public health, and the strength of our local economy.  More than financial generosity, we hope that GivingTuesday inspires everyone to offer their time, skills, expertise, and the power of common efforts to make our communities better.

You can easily participate in GivingTuesday with a tax-deductible donation to FABB or by volunteering to help in our advocacy, outreach, and educational activities.

Make a donation by credit card at FABB’s secure PayPal site here or by mailing a check payable to FABB to: Fairfax Alliance for Better Bicycling, PO Box 3752, Reston, VA 20195.

To learn more about and sign up for FABB volunteer activities, please contact us at [email protected]. We currently need help with bicycling education and encouragement activities, working with local law enforcement, advocacy on bicycling-related legislation, and our social media presence.

As the local bicycle advocacy organization in Fairfax County, FABB since 2005 has been successfully working for better bicycling in the region. Won’t you come join us and support FABB’s grassroots efforts to make Fairfax County a truly bicycle-friendly community.
