FABB is proud to join with Mount Vernon District Supervisor Dan Storck for the 5th Annual Tour de Mount Vernon. This community bike ride is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, 2020, and you can register for it here.

The Tour de Mount Vernon brings cyclists on a fun ride through the south western portion of the Mount Vernon District and on a scenic route through Fort Belvoir. Highlights include the National Museum of the US Army, Pohick Bay Regional Park, Mason Neck State Park, and Gunston Hall. The route will consist of paved roads, a few parts on paved trails and will have several challenging sections. Ride monitors and Fairfax County Police will be on hand to help with directions and keep everyone safe. Food, fun, and prizes will be available at Workhouse Arts Center after the ride ends at 1:30 pm.

This rain or shine event begins at 8:30 am at the Workhouse Arts Center at 9518 Workhouse Road in Lorton. The fee is $25.00 per rider, which includes Tour de Mount Vernon Socks and a $5 donation to Fairfax Alliance for Better Bicycling.

The ride will be adhering to Governor Northam’s Phase III recommendations for social gatherings. So, only 250 riders will be allowed to register and participate. In addition, riders, staff, volunteers, and attendees MUST wear masks at all times and remain six feet apart while at the Workhouse Arts Center

Experienced riders only, please. Helmets are required for the ride, no exceptions. Children 15 and older welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.

We need volunteers for the day before and day of the ride for set up and registration and other duties. You can sign up on the rider registration link above.

Don’t miss out. Sign up early, and we’ll see you there.
