Plan now to join FABB for our next virtual meeting on Wednesday, September 16, at 7:00 pm. We have a great line up of speakers to update and motivate participants.
- Susan Shaw, the Virginia Department of Transportation(VDOT) Northern Virginia Regional Transportation Program Director, will give an update on the two shared-use trails that are part of the I-66 Outside the Beltway and the I-495 Northern Extension (NEXT) projects.
- Heidi Mitter, the VDOT Northern Virginia Bike Coordinator, will discuss the VDOT bike count program and the State Bicycle Policy Plan.
- Nicole Wynands, the Fairfax County Bike Coordinator, will give a brief update on county bicycle activities, including the latest information on the update of the Bicycle Master Plan, now called the ActiveFairfax Plan.
In addition, FABB officers will provide updates on ongoing advocacy efforts and the upcoming Tour de Mount Vernon.
