In lieu of our usual monthly member meeting for July, FABB is holding a social ride to celebrate our local parks. We want members to get together for a lovely bike ride to go along with our usual fellowship and discussions of happenings in the world of bike advocacy. Please plan now to join us!

The ride is set for Saturday, July 27, 2019, at Wakefield Park, 8100 Braddock Road, in Springfield. We’ll meet at 9:30 am at the parking lot near the softball fields on the left and roll-out on our ride at 9:45 am. In case of inclement weather, we’ll just push the start back 24 hours to Sunday, July 28.

For our ride, we’re going to cover an easy, low-stress, out-and-back route along approximately 10 miles of the Gerry Connolley Cross County Trail. This section of the GCCCT is mostly flat with some paved and gravel surfaces. During the ride, we’ll explore Wakefield Park, Americana Park, Lake Accotink Park, Brookfield Park, and Byron Avenue Park. There will be an after party at Wakefield Park with FABB providing the refreshments.

Mark you calendars now and please plan on joining us!
