FABB encourages Fairfax County riders to register for the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority (NVTA) public hearing on the draft TransAction Plan on September 8, 2022, at 7:00 pm. You can attend in-person or virtually to show your support for greater emphasis on bicycling and related multi-modal transportation options in the draft plan and its project list.

Hopefully, you’ve already participated in the Transaction Plan survey with help from our blog (link).

This public hearing is another opportunity to Speak Up! for bicycling and to share your thoughts on specific projects. You can also submit your comments in advance of the meeting.

You can sign up in advance (and no later than 5:00 pm on September 6, 2022) to provide live testimony virtually:

If you attend in person, the hearing is being held at the NVTA offices at 3040 Williams Drive, Suite 200, Fairfax. If you want to speak at the meeting, you should arrive between 6:30 and 7:00 pm to sign-in and register.

Again, this is an important and rare opportunity to have an impact on regional transportation planning. Join FABB in Speaking Up! for better bicycling.
