On June 22 the Fairfax City Council adopted its bicycle master plan, “Bike Fairfax City—Live Life Connected on Two Wheels.” FABB is proud to have been a regional partner to Fairfax City on developing the plan. We also appreciate the role played by former FABB board member Douglas Stewart, who served on the project steering committee.

Bike Fairfax City was created to identify a network of bike lanes, trails, and other facilities, as well as policies and programs to improve the bicycling experience in the City of Fairfax. When implemented, the recommendations in the plan will expand the network of safe, comfortable options for people of all ages and abilities to ride bikes between neighborhoods, parks, activity centers, and other destinations throughout the city and region.

FABB looks forward to continuing its work with the city to make bicycling better there. If you would like to help, please contact us at [email protected].
