The fourth annual Bike Your Park Day is set for Saturday, September 26, 2020, to encourage and promote bicycling in parks and public lands. It coincides with Bike Travel Weekend, originally scheduled for June 5-7, on September 25-27. FABB is joining Adventure Cycling in encouraging Fairfax bicyclists to participate in one or both of these events with virtual and in-person rides that follow safety guidelines. You can find details about and ideas on how to lead an event or join an existing event here.

These two events are for people of all ages and can range from a challenging century ride, either solo or with socially-distanced friends, to a mile on a bike path with your family. Participants can start at their house and ride to the park or they can drive to the park and start their ride there. The only real requirement is that the registered ride must involve a park or public land. Registrants can choose to make their ride private or open it up for others to join. Register here.

Registrants will be entered to win a Salsa Cutthroat bike. The first 500 people who register to lead an event also will get a Bike Travel Weekend or Bike Your Park Day patch and sticker in the mail.
