• Register now to participate in a webinar on new Virginia laws to make our streets safer for cyclists and pedestrians.

As we have reported previously, Virginia had a historic legislative session this year in terms of passing into law several major traffic safety bills. Join us online to hear directly from two of the legislators who championed the bills, Senator Scott Surovell and Delegate Kenneth Plum. Then participate in a discussion of the traffic safety bills that passed, those that did not, and how the community can help do more in the future.

The 1-hour-long webinar will be held on Wednesday, June 17, at 12:00 pm and you can register here. The session will be moderated by Jim Durham, the Chair of the Alexandria Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC), and is being hosted by Fairfax County, the City of Fairfax, the Coalition for Smarter Growth, George Mason University, and, of course, FABB.

Also, mark your calendars for two upcoming webinars in July for Active Transportation during COVID-19 (July 15) and Safe Streets for All (July 29).

See you there!
