VDOT and FCDOT are proposing to add bike lanes in both directions. Existing legal on-street parking will be maintained.
Local Dranesville District riders have until 8 April to comment on the proposed bike lanes to be installed on Parcher Avenue from Centreville Road to Maleady Drive as part of the summer repaving and restriping program.
New bike facilities are great, but new doesn’t always mean optimal. Riders need to share their knowledge of local areas and road conditions to help VDOT and FCDOT ensure that the proposed bike lanes improve the biking experience.
