In light of the two recent bicycle fatalities in Fairfax County, the upcoming Regional Vision Zero Summit on June 24, 2021, could not be a timelier opportunity to learn more about addressing the need for protecting vulnerable road users. Register now to participate in this online event that brings together elected officials, decision-makers, advocates, thought leaders, and the private sector to share best practices, insights and innovations to eliminate deaths and serious injuries on our region’s streets and highways.

Vision Zero starts with the ethical belief that everyone has the right to move safely in their communities, and that system designers and policy makers share the responsibility to ensure safe systems for travel.

The 2021 Summit will focus on Transportation Equity. Speakers will discuss how to make equity change in the transportation sector as well as the systems, tools, and processes needed for change.

The Keynote Speaker will be Leslie Dara Baldwin, the Director of National Policy for the Center for Disability Rights, Inc. There also will be panel discussions on increasing investments in alternative solutions to police traffic enforcement and using Federal sources of community development financing to advance equity in mobility through infrastructure investments.

You can register for the 2021 Vision Zero Summit here. Registration is free for individuals with a request for paying what you can. You can attend all or part of the day-long summit

The summit is an excellent opportunity to show your support for safer bicycling and to see experienced transportation advocates in action. Please join FABB in attending this great event.
