In July, FABBers of all ages enjoyed a 12.5-mile social ride through 5 County parks, Americana Park, Wakefield Park, Lake Accotink Park, Brookfield Park, and Byron Avenue Park. The Lake Accotink area consists of nearly 500 acres of parkland in the center of Fairfax County. Riders can visit the area and surrounding parks on the Gerry Connelly Cross County Trail, a mostly paved, shared-use path that runs through some of the county’s most scenic areas. Throughout FABB’s history, advocates have worked with the Park Authority and elected officials to help make bicycling on the Cross County Trail safe and accessible. The July ride celebrated this cherished community resource, we thank all the friends and families who joined us!
