The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) has scheduled a Transform I-66 Inside the Beltway Construction Update meeting for July 10, 2019. The meeting will be from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Yorktown High School, 5200 Yorktown Boulevard, in Arlington. The meeting will focus on ongoing and upcoming construction between the I-495 and North Fairfax Drive in Ballston.
FABB encourages local members and those you bike in this area to attend and Speak Up! in support of bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure, such as the bridge for W&OD Trail over Route 29/Lee Highway that is currently under construction. These meetings are excellent opportunities to share your views with the project staff team and other attendees. You can also show your support for bicycling by helping to inform others about the benefits of including infrastructure, such as the Lee Highway bridge, in these major projects.
