Want to know local politicians’ views on making bicycling better in Fairfax County? Plan now to watch a televised debate of candidates running for chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors on Monday, May 13, 2019. There are three ways to watch:

Live on Fairfax Public Access Channel 10
The Inside Scoop TV Livestream on Facebook
The Inside Scoop TV Livestream on YouTube

The Fairfax Healthy Communities Coalition is hosting the debate, which will be aired live on Fairfax Public Access Channel 10’s Inside Scoop program at 8:00 pm that night. The four candidates are Tim Chapman, Ryan McElveen, Jeff McKay, and Alicia Plerhoples, who are competing in the Democratic primary election on Tuesday, June 11, 2019. There are no candidates from other political parties.

In line with the Coalition’s platform, candidates will be asked for their views on topics ranging from climate change through affordable housing and land use to multi-modal transportation needs.

FABB is proud to be part of the Fairfax Healthy Communities Coalition, which released its vision for the future—Fairfax Healthy Communities: Sustainable, Inclusive, Livable–last month and has urged local candidates for elected office in Fairfax County to use the document as a policy platform.
