Jeff Anderson, a consultant for the Center for Disease Control, lives and bikes in Vienna. He rides for fitness, to complete errands, and in competition as a Cat 3 Masters racer. Jeff got involved in bicycle advocacy when he attempted to ride his oldest child to school in 2009 and discovered that there was no bike rack. This prompted his work to change the Fairfax County Public Schools’ attitude toward children bicycling to school. Jeff helped to lead FABB’s transition from a component of the Washington Area Bicyclist Association to an independent non-profit group in 2015, serving as the group’s president for its first three years.
